WALTHAM, MA, USA, November 30, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — Gentle Dental of New England, a leading dental care provider in New England, donated funds to The Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB) to provide 500 meals to families in eastern Massachusetts this holiday season. Along with this donation, Gentle Dental practices will be hosting a “canned food drive” in all Gentle Dental offices starting today through December 31st, 2017. Donations of non-perishable food items will be accepted at all 37 Gentle Dental locations throughout New England during regular business hours, Monday through Thursday 8am-8pm and Friday and Saturday from 9am-5pm. All practices are open and seeing patients through December including 12/22, 12/23, and the week between Christmas and New Years.

Director of Marketing Kirsten von Hassel says, “Gentle Dental has been providing care to the greater Boston area for over 40 years and our mission is to provide a healthy, confident smile to every person in New England. As a health care provider, our priority is the health and wellbeing of our patients and their families. Each of the 500 meals provides a nutritious, complete holiday meal to families in eastern Massachusetts who may otherwise not have one this holiday season. Food donations can be brought in and placed in the GBFB box located in the reception areas at each Gentle Dental location, including our newest locations in Seekonk, Hudson, Milford, North Andover, and New Bedford.

CARY, NORTH CAROLINA, USA, November 29, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — Cary Skin Center announced today the addition of Dr. Adam Ingraffea, Mohs Surgeon, to the staff starting January 2, 2018.
He studied medicine at the Ponce School of Medicine in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He graduated class valedictorian and was selected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He went on to complete a dermatology residency at the Boston University/Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence, Rhode Island, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Ingraffea then moved to Cincinnati to train in Mohs surgery under the direction of Hugh Gloster, MD, at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.
He served as an assistant professor of dermatology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine for five years. He was the associate program director for both the dermatology residency and Mohs surgery fellowships. He also served as the director of the resident continuity clinic and Mohs surgery clinic at the Cincinnati VA hospital. While at the University of Cincinnati, Dr. Ingraffea won many awards including Teacher of the Year in 2012. He was selected as a Best Physician in Cincinnati Magazine for three years in a row from 2013-2016. He is the author of 18 peer reviewed papers as well as multiple book chapters.
His clinical interests are in cutaneous oncology (skin cancer), Mohs surgery and facial reconstruction. He has performed over 7500 cases of Mohs surgery. Dr. Ingraffea completed his accredited Mohs surgery under the direction of Hugh Closter, M.D. at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Dr. Ingraffea now brings that expertise to Cary, N.C. where he resides with his wife and two children.
Dr. Adam Ingraffea specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery, a type of skin cancer treatment developed by Dr. Frederick Mohs in the 1930s. It's a technique that incorporates pathology and surgery to incrementally remove cancerous skin tissue in microscopic layers. These layers are examined until the margin of the tumor is definitively mapped and removed. The process is the most effective technique for treating skin cancer, sparing the greatest amount of healthy tissue while completely removing cancerous cells. We are also seeking various genres. We want jazz, pop, kids musical acts, R&B, hip-hop, rock, spoken word, inspirational, gospel, blues, EDM and more. The caveat is that we are really focusing on younger acts. Mind you, we do have our eyes open for that special seasoned act, but our plan is really looking to develop 18 to 28 year old artists. We are casting a wide net looking for talented people to help get them established and create some fantastic content. Our age constraint is only for the music program. So comedians, entrepreneurs and authors just come. Oh yeah, we also have some great internship opportunities.

What's the catch? Sherree laughs and says well that is why you have to attend. Seriously, the important thing is that we are looking for people who are serious, focused and can take direction. We have had a few stops and starts with folks who couldn't make a decision, follow through or their view of the business didn't mesh with our knowledge. We will talk about that as well.
